Clinical Psychologist based in Glasgow, Scotland

Dr Dot is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist, based in Scotland. She wants to make psychology more accessible and convenient by sharing free resources/information and delivering it in more innovative ways, outdoors and remotely. She will be delivering different types of therapy online, so you can engage with psychological support while in the comfort of your own home.

Dr Dot is passionate about removing the stigmas and barriers surrounding mental health, which make it difficult or shameful to reach out for support. Dr Dot wants to arm you with coping tools which aim to empower you, build resilience and help you to create a richer, fuller and more meaningful life, which is long-lasting.

About Dr Dot

Create lasting change and maintain wellness

Dr Dot believes that there is not a “one-size fits all” when it comes to improving and maintaining our mental health. In 1-1 therapy, she spends time individualising care to meet your needs in line with your specific difficulties and experiences. Her warm, bubbly, compassionate nature will put you at ease straight away. She draws on a combination of evidence-based psychological therapies, which she is highly experienced in, to create lasting change. She aims to provide you with a safe, non-judgmental environment so you feel comfortable to engage with therapy and work together to reach your goals.

Dr Dot is also passionate about keeping people well and believes that maintenance and prevention is just as important as intervention. In addition to helping people with mental health problems, Dr Dot aims to help people who are keen to work on their mental “wellness”. She is in the process of creating several online courses which you can work through in your own time, when you are on the go or in the comfort of your own home. These will help you build skills in everyday life, e.g. in your relationships, home life and work, to help you survive and thrive in this busy, chaotic world that we find ourselves living in.

Dr Dot believes connection and community are crucial to wellness - she runs outdoor therapy groups in Scotland where you can meet like-minded people, feel less alone and support each other – it is important to find ways to stay mentally healthy together. Get in touch if you are interested in joining one of these. She can also create bespoke training packages for business, teams, schools, etc.
